Next walk: Himley to Baggeridge, 9 Nov 2025

Our autumnal November walk is a pretty 4-mile circular route from Himley to Baggeridge Woods, which includes lots of water, forest and some great views. We’ll be starting at Himley Hall, then walk through into Baggeridge Park before turning off into Baggeridge Woods. The walk has a couple of inclines, one is rather steep but not very long. The rest of the route is flat or downhill. It has a couple of steps in places, and one stile, but all are well-built and not dangerous.

The walk surface is a mixture of paved path, gravel path and dirt track. There will be some mud around, so boots are an absolute must.

It’s a great walk for dogs. There are horses along the way but all are behind fences and very friendly.

Toilets and a café are available at the start and in the middle of the walk.

At the end of our route, there is the option to extend it by including a 1-mile walk around the lake or by exploring the impressive grounds of Himley Hall.

Himley Hall is not easily reached by public transport, but we have lifts available from Wolverhampton for a couple of people.

Please remember to bring a packed lunch and something to sit on.

We are still collecting for Women’s Aid, and optional donations of £1 (or more) will be welcome  – please bring cash, also for your mandatory £1 contribution to Boot Women’s admin costs.
