Next walk: Church Stretton, 11 June 2017

On our next walk,  we will be returning to Church Stretton in Shropshire.

Church Stretton is a most attractive town situated in the Southern Shropshire hills designated as an area of outstanding natural beauty. We will be doing a circular walk heading towards Little Caradoc which is the very smallest of the hills in the area. The walk is 6 miles. There is a fairly steep climb of around 15 to 20 minutes as we go up the hill but the rest of the walk is very easy going. Regarding the climb please don’t be put off; it is very do-able for someone of even average fitness and we will go at the pace of the slowest walker; it won’t be route march!

There are a few stiles and sheep on the hills but well behaved dogs on a lead are welcome. Expect mud and wear suitable clothing.

Afterwards we will be going to a most delightful café with home-made cakes and lots of other goodies!

Note: There are free toilets on site for the start and end of the walk.

Remember to bring some lunch / drinks and something to sit on.

Meet for shared lifts at the usual place or contact us for details on how to go directly to the start of the walk.
