Next walk: Millennium Way, Studley and Morton Bagot (10 June, 2018)

Our June walk is along the Millennium Way (Studley and Morton Bagot). It is an 8-mile figure-of-eight walk from the village of Studley in Warwickshire. The countryside is glorious, and the walk takes you through open countryside, along riverside and through woodland with a short section along quiet country lanes. The walk incorporates a section of the Millennium Way where we will be guided by the distinctive black Millennium Way waymarkers.

The route includes a few steady gradients and follows a mixture of field, riverside and woodland paths which can be muddy. There are a couple of sections along quiet lanes. We will negotiate several kissing gates and footbridges plus one stile (which should be suitable for dogs). We will be sharing several of the fields with livestock.

Please note this walk is slightly harder and longer than usual Boot Women walks. It is not  extremely difficult and anyone of average fitness should be fine  but it is not completely flat and is more strenuous than some.

Meet at the usual place or contact us for details on how to go directly to the start of the walk.

Remember to bring some lunch / drinks and something to sit on.

We are still collecting for Women’s Aid, and optional donations of 1£ (or more) will be welcome.
