Our September walk will take us to the South Staffordshire Railway Walk and contains approximately 8.5 miles of level walking, leading us through wooded areas of maintained paths and along canal side paths.
Starting at Compton, we’ll set off on the old Railway line for the first 3.5 miles.
We will stop alongside The Railway Café near Bratch Locks to eat the snack you’ve brought with you or you can purchase food and drink from the café if you wish.
The remaining 5 miles will take us on the return route along the canal.
Half a lemonade or a wee Babycham can be consumed at the Public House opposite the car park on our completion of the walk.
There are no stiles or livestock to negotiate and dogs are welcome.
Meet at the usual place or contact us for details on how to go directly to the start of the walk.
Remember to bring some lunch / drinks and something to sit on.
We are still collecting for Women’s Aid, and optional donations of 1£ (or more) will be welcome.
