Next walk: Heart of England Forest, 10 July 2022

Our July walk will be through the Heart of England Forest, which covers a mosaic of habitats across 7,000 acres of land in Warwickshire and Worcestershire, including 4,000 acres of new woodland and 600 acres of mature and ancient woodland. Its ambitious project is to re-plant 30,000 acres of woodland.

The walk follows a flat 4 mile route through growing forest, taking in new tree planting, more mature woodland and meandering brooks. We will pass the Founder’s Rock, sculptures and stop for lunch in the Forest Arboretum.

Part of the walk may be muddy and sturdy walking shoes or boots are recommended.

Remember to bring some lunch / drinks and something to sit on.

Well-behaved dogs are also welcome.

Contact us for details on how to go to the start of the walk.

We are still collecting for Women’s Aid, and optional donations of 1£ (or more) will be welcome.
