Next walk: Stafford Castle to Derrington, 11 Jan 2026

Our first walk of 2026 is an easy 4 miles starting from Stafford Castle. 

We will first walk across fields and through the golf course to a main road which we cross before taking cycle route 55 into Duddas woods. 

The path to this point is flat with a good surface.

From the woods there is a steady incline back to the castle. The paths are muddy and slippery in places but around the castle are good.

The walk is suitable for dogs.

Please remember to bring a packed lunch and something to sit on.
