Our June walk will be longer than normal: we will walk all the way from Gas Street Basin in Birmingham to Broad Street Basin, following the new Main Line Canal, which has an excellent towpath.
We’ll be covering 15 miles, which we expect to complete in seven hours, allowing time for a couple of stops.
On completion of the walk we will return to Birmingham on the train or tram.
As this is a longer walk, please remember to bring the following:
– Plenty to drink and eat and something to sit on.
– Sunglasses, sunscreen and a hat, should it be warm, waterproofs in case of rain.
– A torch for in the tunnel.
– Suitable footwear: light walking shoes or comfortable trainers.
Well behaved dogs are welcome.
